Dr. James Hall was born in Magnolia, MS & graduated valedictorian from South Pike High School in 1991.  While a member of the Honors College at the University of Southern Mississippi, he received a B.S. in Biochemistry.  After college, he worked as a counselor/teacher at Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc., an at-risk youth camp in Blakely, GA.  He then attended University of Mississippi Medical Center and received a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2002.  He completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospital in Jackson, MS and a two-year fellowship in Nephrology at the same institution.  He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and in Nephrology.  He also has a specialty certification in Hypertension and is the only Hypertension Specialist in Southwest Mississippi.  He has 4 years of Nephrology experience and 2 years of Hospitalist experience.  He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Hypertension, National Kidney Foundation, Renal Physicians Association, MS Shine Project, and many others.  He is married to Joy & they have 2 sons, Matthew & Jordan.  They attend Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church in Wesson.  His interests are mentoring young men, bass fishing, & outdoor activities.
